I'm thinking of having the windows tinted next week while the weather pattern here is rainey thru middle of next week.

The car (http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104399#) is Inferno Red and still have not decided on how I really want the tint.

Does anyone have their sunroof tinted? In the past years I heard that tinting the sunroof could cause it to shatter from the heat. Just curious if it is true or not.

The car is an exterior car during the day at work and is exposed to the hot southern summer heat.

Any comments on the sunroof and % of tint to use on the windows would be greatly appreciated and pics would be great.

Thanks
Mick

here is what Al laws states:

WindshieldNon-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield. Front Side WindowsMust allow more than 32% of light in.Back Side WindowsMust allow more than 32% of light in.Rear WindowMust allow more than 32% of light in.
which is actually pretty dark if you get all the windows done - as far as the sunroof it should already have some kind of tint on it and i haven't heard of anyone tinting the sunroof before, but if it doesn't hurt the windows being out in the the sun all day i would think it shouldn't hurt the sunroof :idunno:

We went with limo tint which I think is 5% on the rear windows. I now wish we had the sunroof done as well.

I haven't heard myself of a sunroof shattering due to tint and heat. I'll have to ask the fellow that did our tint the next time I see him.
